What if I need healthcare whilst in Turkey?

Unlike EU destinations, the Global Health Insurance Card which provides free or reduced cost access to emergency and necessary state healthcare, does not apply when visiting Turkey.

Therefore it’s important to arrange holiday insurance for your Turkey trip, to ensure you have appropriate cover for any emergency medical expenses that you may encounter.

Turkey is a popular destination for medical tourism. A standard travel insurance policy would not cover you for anything related to your medical needs in relation to your cosmetic surgery. If you are travelling to Turkey for cosmetic surgery, you will require a specialist insurance policy.

A single trip policy may be ideal if you are planning just one trip within a year.

Your single trip policy can be arranged to cover you for a trip that includes just one country, or, if required, more than one country if you will be arranging a twin centre holiday or intend visiting various countries during your trip.

To determine the category of insurance you will need, just check which insurance zones (Europe 1 or 2 for example) include the countries you intend to visit.
